What is the difference between the freeware and commercial-free versions of Whistler's List?

Both have the same functional capabilities. The freeware version will occasionally add an item to the to do list which suggests that you visit this website or www.kronolog.com, both of which are maintained by Whistling Cow.  When you delete this to do item, your browser will take you to one of these Whistling Cow websites.  When you close or minimize your browser, you will return to Whistler's List without there being any intrusive changes being made to your computer or operating system's registry.  We understand that some people might prefer not to have to delete these commercials, which will appear approximately once every twenty times that the program is loaded.  If you want to splurge $12.95 so you can be 100% commercial-free instead of 96% commercial-free, then this is the version for you, you big spender.
