What is Whistler's List?
Whistler's List is a free productivity enhancement tool that showcases the to do list functions of KronoLog. It is visually appealing, re-sizable and font changeable. It also features a drag and drop reordering of priorities, "any column" reordering, pick lists for activities, projects and clients, access to multiple databases and a daily list print function. It is designed from the point of view of a professional (typically an attorney, architect or accountant) who needs to process increasing amounts of client-related information and act in accordance with established priorities. In the same way that KronoLog focuses on the user’s experiential point of view, Whistler’s List minimizes the number of keystrokes needed for the entry and subsequent retrieval of "things" that need to be done. Most users will spend less than five minutes to develop an effective daily plan of action.
What is KronoLog?
KronoLog, launched in April, 2005, is widely acclaimed as "the information manager for the information age." It has garnered dozens of top software awards. Designed for the Windows 98, 98SE, 2000, ME and XP platforms (professional and home), this program leverages advances in computer capabilities to allow users to centralize the entry and retrieval of information in a broad variety of formats, including text, graphic, clipboard objects and objects created by other programs installed on the target computer. Search functions are context-sensitive and can use any string token (such as a client name, a project, or even a portion of a telephone number) associated with a recorded event to display every one of those events in a new Display form, which features a dual-track data navigator. These Display forms can, in turn, yield further sets of search results. KronoLog is designed from the ground up as a minimum-keystroke information management tool for the professional who must depend on complete and instantaneous access to any information he or she has recorded. This type of information is generally clustered with the attributes of beginning time, ending time, notes, employee, customer, project, activities and an invoice summary line. The core of KronoLog entry log is its notes section, which can be plain text, an image, or an object created by any OLE-compliant program residing on the computer. Try to enter more than a paragraph in any conventional time management program and you can see that KronoLog presents an entirely new dynamic approach to information management.
